Dr. Sullivan, an Oak Park native, earned his biology degree from Loyola University Chicago in 1979 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry in 1983. After honing his skills for several years in practices on North Michigan Avenue and Chicago’s Near South Side, he opened his own office in 1987 alongside his high-school friend, Dr. Larry Humberstone, DC. By 1998, growing demand prompted a move to the current location at 511 Thornhill Dr., Suite H, Carol Stream, IL—where he continues to welcome patients today.
Over more than four decades, Dr. Sullivan has built his reputation on integrity, conservative treatment planning, and doing only what is truly necessary for each patient’s long-term health. He believes dentistry should never feel overwhelming or pressured, and he takes pride in providing clear explanations and honest recommendations. His approach is rooted in preserving natural tooth structure whenever possible and creating treatment plans that are both clinically sound and financially considerate. He consistently works with patients to find solutions that fit their needs, understanding that trust is earned through transparency and fairness.
Dr. Sullivan has completed more than 3,300 hours of advanced continuing education in craniofacial pain, TMJ science, prosthodontics, implant dentistry, IV sedation, orthodontics, and oral surgery. His commitment to lifelong learning ensures every patient receives comprehensive, modern care grounded in decades of experience.
Outside the office, Dr. Sullivan enjoys golfing with his wife and sons, tending a prolific backyard garden, and sharing its bounty. If you visit during the summer, don’t be surprised to find fresh fruits and vegetables in the waiting room—just one more way he brings a personal touch to the practice.
Logan T. Sullivan

Logan Sullivan earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago before returning home to work alongside his father. During that time, he not only assisted in patient care but also ran the front office and helped oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice. Immersed in both the clinical and administrative sides of dentistry, he developed a deep appreciation for the relationships, trust, and continuity that define family-centered dental care. Inspired by the standard of excellence his father established over more than four decades, Logan chose to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at NYU College of Dentistry.
He is currently a second-year dental student at NYU College of Dentistry, where he ranks in the top 5 percent of his class academically and received the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award for outstanding academic achievement during his first year. While completing his dental education, Logan remains actively involved in the practice, helping manage operations remotely and supporting its continued growth and modernization.
Through his experience working closely with patients, Logan understands how overwhelming dental decisions can feel. He is motivated by providing compassionate, transparent, and affordable care that prioritizes long-term oral health. He looks forward to continuing the family tradition of serving Carol Stream with integrity, expertise, and a personal touch.
Outside of dentistry, Logan enjoys staying active, spending time with family, and maintaining cautious optimism that advances in modern science may one day solve male pattern baldness.
